    1. Shilpa, so pleased you liked it. I have had cuts like that in the kitchen before and it was honestly the first thing I thought of. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments.

  2. That's a little gruesome! Very picturesque, though, as a Haiku must be!

    1. Pat, no cuts are never fun. Fortunately I have never cut myself bad enough to need stitches, although my son has. Thank you for stopping in and for your sweet comments! ♥

  5. Haunting and too close to home - I've sliced myself with kitchen knives on too many unfortunate occasions. Glad to see you back writing, Kathy! Blessings!

    1. Martha, unfortunately I have too. Between those and the blades for the food processor, :P. Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments. I have decided to give this writing thing another go despite my misgivings.

    1. ovengoodies, when it comes to injuries and blood I react and do what needs doing first aid wise and then freak a bit later. Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

  11. Is this your subtle way of telling us you had a kitchen injury that required stitches? lol

    1. JoJo, While I have had my share of cuts and burns in the kitchen, I have been fortunate never to require stitches. Touch wood. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

  14. Not sure if you are referring to recent massacres or a home injury...but the haiku is very vivid!

    1. Tournesol, I have been known to get a bit queasy. Once my mom had dialysis I got over it in a big hurry. If it's mine I freak a bit, if it is someone else's I do what I have to do to get it to stop. I am so pleased you liked my haiku. Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

  19. Ouch! This made me cringe (thank goodness it's never happened to me.) It did happen to my dad when I was a kid... my mom had just uttered the words, "you're going to cut yourself". Oh, the 'I-told-you-so' argument that ensued :) Haven't seen you post for a while - good to see you back!
