Before dashing
away to the flight which would take her to a sunny, idyllic beach, Christine imparted
a bit of advice.
She encouraged me to
reach for the brass ring.
Write,
and for God’s sake,
edit
and proofread
and
count your words!
Lol, love it!!! That's what I have a hard time getting folks to understand, every long post represents 4 hours of writing, editing, proofreading, proofreading again...and still I can go back a couple days later and find errors I missed.
ReplyDeleteJoe, people who don't write simply don't get the process. I have found that every short post takes me that long too! Lol! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeletePerfect!!!!
ReplyDeleteJoJo, I am so pleased you liked it! Thanks so much for stopping by to read and for your comments! ♥
DeleteWriting is a lot of work, yet worth every moment we spend doing it. Great thoughts, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteMartha, I am so pleased you liked it. I haven't done much writing in quite a while, and I simply couldn't resist this prompt. Thanks for stopping by, for reading, and for always being so supportive! ♥
DeleteYeah, write!

DeleteI have to admit when I started writing, I was hoping it would work into a great work from home activity to help with the bills. Where the urge came from I don't know? Now it is a worthwhile hobby. It keeps my mind active and a productive way.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I think a lot of us was hoping this blogging thing would go in that direction. Money would have been nice, and when I first started I made quite a bit of money doing it considering. Now I just do it for the fun of it. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteNice to see you active again, Kathy. :) Yes, writing is a meticulous process, for sure!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I will be back pretty regularly once the kids are back to school August 12. Then you can expect to see me posting a bit more frequently. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

ReplyDeleteShilpa, I am so pleased you liked it! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteThis is funny! The editing process is time consuming- doesn't matter the post length. Shorter posts just mean our obsession is focused on fewer words :)
ReplyDeletejannatwrites, and that obsession can be even more maddening because the fewer the words the greater the challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
