Light Extinguished

   





    Christa giggled constantly, her presence brightened a room.   Afraid of nothing, she attacked life with a zeal others envied.  

     Then one day she changed drastically.  Terrified of every shadow, tears replaced giggles.  She withdrew.  The light extinguished, the scars remain. Darkness prevails.

    Kinda reminds me of my ex husband when he descended into mental illness in the late 90s. He went from the life of the party to a bipolar mess.

      kymm, the idea I had was that she was raped...but obviously I didn't make that clear in my 42 words which was the main reason I didn't make the grid..but it is OK. I will try to be more specific next week. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for stopping by to read and for your comments! ♥
