Ingredients
assembled, pan perfectly greased. Carefully
measuring, mixing, and preheating for the suggested temperature. Baking, the aroma is heavenly! Timer dings: carefully, I retrieve my culinary
masterpiece from the oven. Pandemonium, chaotic as the kids pursue dogs…colliding,
splat…oh shit!

Oh! Wouldn't want hot cake to suffer this fate! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderfully expressed in a few words, Kathy.
Anita, Me either. I have had it happen to me before and was simply devastated! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

DeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Not the caaaaaake!!!!! lol I actually live in fear of dropping stuff out of the oven. So far it hasn't happened.....yet.
ReplyDeleteJoJo, this happened to me once...just like this and it was devastating. The cake was for my husband. I rushed out to the store and bought another mix and made another. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

ReplyDeleteCameron, yes they don't mix well! LOL Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteOooops! Bummer. This is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me away from the oven : )
ReplyDeletekymm, I am never far away from the stove or oven. People keep thinking they need to eat. It is annoying. So I have to keep cooking and washing dishes. The story of my life! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteWell at least the dog will enjoy
ReplyDeletePat, and the dogs did. One thing about it, I never have to clean up food that drops on the floor. The dogs scarf it down quick. LOL Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteNow I neeeeeeeeeed caaaaaaaaaake!!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, I know, right??? Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteI had to laugh, Kathy! When I was young and our family was visiting with my grandparents who had no dog, my Nana unwittingly left a cake to cool on the kitchen table, just within reach of our dog's mouth. She was beside herself wondering which grandchild munched on the cake before it was frosted! Kids and dogs - what more can one say?
ReplyDeleteMartha, it sounds like something my dog would do. LOL Those dogs though. They have it planned! Thanks so much for stopping by to read and for your lovely comments! ♥
DeleteI'd still eat whatever was in the oven. Dog hair doesn't bother me.
ReplyDeleteinnatejames, I am with you! Lol 5 second rule and all that! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥
DeleteNooooo..... That's a tragic piece. The only happy one would be the dog.
ReplyDeletetulika, I can assure you that the time I did this, all four of my dogs were in heaven scrambling for every last crumb! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteOoops! All the hard work gone to the ground, literally!
