I Want to See You!

NaBloPoMo asks
Which sense is more important to you: vision or hearing?

I would be hard pressed to choose between the two as both senses are equally important.  Without hearing sounds there would be no music and without sight there would be no beauty and color.  A person can adapt to just about anything if they have to with enough strength, faith, and hope.

If a time came where I had to choose which sense I had to give up I would choose my hearing.  I can not imagine not being able to see all the beauty in the world, the smiles on my children’s faces, or the twinkle in my husband’s eyes.  I would miss music, the sounds of the whispering breeze through the trees, the voices of the people I love, and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, but I would endure and count my blessings that I could see the world around me and that I was alive.

While writing this I realize there are people in this world that have to endure life in darkness or a world without sound.  They don’t have a choice.  It is their fate and they must bravely live the life they are given.  Personally, I would hate the darkness and would much prefer the silence as long as I could see until next time when I give you another glimpse into the life of a trucker’s wife.
