Flying Monkeys

Watching the “Wizard of Oz” with Jacob, I worried the flying monkeys would terrify him.  I braced myself.

“What is the airspeed velocity of a flying monkey?”

Shocked, I gaped at him as if he had sprouted horns and a tail.   Kids!!

  1. HAHAHAHA that's awesome! They flying monkeys never scared me (although I have never liked monkeys/apes anyway), but I did not like the tornado or the scene looking up as the house falls. That terrified me.

    1. innatejames, I am so pleased you liked it. The idea for it came from real life. My kids do this kind of stuff to me all the time, especially my son. He really is too intelligent for his own good. Bless him! Thank you for stopping in and for your sweet comments! ♥

  9. Ha ha ha ha! Is this really fiction or a slice from real life? :D

    1. Shailaja, it is fiction but close enough to something my son would pull on me to be real life. He spouts off these wild questions all the time out of the clear blue and blow my mind. Either that or he will tell me some high tech smart type thing out of the blue and leave me staring at him with my mouth dropped like a codfish catching flies. HA HA HA. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

    1. love happy notes, isn't that the truth? I think it has a lot to do with the fact that kids today have so much more access to things whether on the internet of by watching movies or television. Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥ Course I used to get creeped out by the witch's guards singing OH EE OH! LOL
