There is nothing
like sliding in at the last minute! As
of yesterday I decided to take the NaBloPoMo challenge and blog every day
through the month of October!
My favorite
sounds of Autumn include the crackle of a bonfire, the sounds of the Concord Marching Minutemen practicing at the high school, and the roar of an
enthusiastic crowd cheering on the home team on the nights the football team plays. Of course it wouldn’t be autumn without the
enthusiastic screaming and cheering on Saturday afternoons that can be heard at
my house while we watch the Notre Dame Football game. It simply wouldn’t be Autumn without the
enthusiastic chants of “Here come the Irish” followed by the exuberant strands
of the fight song blaring after every Irish score.
You can feel the
excitement in the air. It is
electric. You can almost hear the
sizzle! Football, fight songs, and
cheering crowds…it is what Autumn is all about!

Getting all ready to tune things up with football season, bet it is grand to see and hear indeed. Blogging every day for a month? Pffft the cat could never do that lol
ReplyDeletePat, Not sure I can do it either but I will give it the ole college try. It seems as if you post pretty regular. I bet you could!!! Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments!
DeleteI love fall too!!!!! I don't get to see much college football....Russell doesn't like football and he's only home a couple days a week so I forego the college games so he can watch what he wants. Plus I rarely get to see the UW Huskies out here.
ReplyDeleteJoJo, too bad you can't convert him! The only football I watch is Notre Dame football although since my daughter is working the concession stand at the junior high school she goes to I have caught a football game and a soccer game this fall. Notre Dame football is non negotiable at my house. You either watch it and cheer for the Irish or you leave the room and do your own thing, but you never interrupt the football game or even THINK of watching anything else. LOL Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteEnjoy the Fall season! I miss the years I spent in midwestern US, where Fall was my favourite season because of changing colours. And all the best with blogging challenge, I am sure you will enjoy all the excitement :)
ReplyDeleteBeloo, I love the fall. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteHow I wish I could be a part of Fall! :) Have fun..... I would love to read how you celebrate over the coming days... :)
ReplyDeletetaleoftwotomatoes, I will be sure to give you a glimpse from my neck of the woods this month. Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteGosh, I wish we had the season here! We get lots of heat. Would love the experience!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I can't imagine living in a place with no fall! Lots of heat would mean never taking down the swimming pool and that would be A-OK to me too although I think I would eventually get tired of the sweaty teddy weather every day without fail. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥
DeleteSo true, the frenzy about football and sheer excitement. I am also thinking of a break, come November. I would love to do a new challenge but I am running short of time! Glad to see u back, Kathy:)
ReplyDeletevishalbheeroo, breaks are good for the soul. It helps to come back refreshed and revived, ready to take on the world. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! It is always so good to see you! ♥
DeleteEnjoy the Fall season, Kathy! And glad that you are in for every day blogging challenge this month! Let's rock it! :) ♥
ReplyDeleteShilpa, I am going to try to! Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely encouraging comments! ♥
DeleteI've never been a football fan, but I like the bonfires and gatherings that go along with it :) There is much to like about autumn - I'm liking the crisp mornings!
ReplyDeletejannatwrites, I only watch the Irish games and when I can I catch one of the games at my daughter's junior high. There is something electric about attending a game in person! I love the bonfires and crisp mornings...and the leaves! Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteI love fall. I agree with you on the bonfire. The warmth from the fire on a cool night and staring into the fire letting my mind wander is great!
ReplyDeleteJohn, bonfires and campfires are awesome!!! Love watching them burn and the warmth they create. It is so festive! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥
DeleteI could see people here going gaga over football. Sigh!! I really have no interest in the game :) It's the onset of summer here... loving the sun.
ReplyDeleteRajlakshmi, I only really watch the Notre Dame football games, but I love it. I grew up cheering on the Irish. I can't imagine an Autumn without them in it! Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
