Found

This piece was written for the 55 Fiction writing prompt at Write Tribe.  Today a mystery.

Today she chose a different path which led her deeper into the woods than she had ever traveled before.  She quickened her pace suddenly nervous, unsure of her destination.  Suddenly Anna tripped and went sprawling over a partially concealed arm.  She screamed when she saw the decomposed body.  Her friend Heather had finally been found!

    1. Trisha, I think it would! I don't know how police and forensics people handle the blood, guts, and gore they come in contact with. I would be physically sick and unable to sleep nights. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your kind comments!

  12. Oooo. Creepy. You must be multi-talented since I see that you write horror, too.

    1. Joyce, not sure how multi-talented I am. I tried to write mystery and ended up horror but I really appreciate your kind words. This was my first attempt ever and it makes me feel really good to know you liked it and it creeps you out. Mission accomplished! Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments.
