Night on the Town

  Sadie considered her image.

Your skirt is too short.

Your boobs are showing!

Too much makeup Missy, you look like a slut.

Don’t you DARE leave looking like that!

You look available for sex.

You are NOT available!

“Perfect!”

 She smirked wickedly.

    1. vishalbheeroo, very true and unfair on all counts. Men can walk around topless and they aren't called sluts. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments!

  8. Wicked! It's interesting how we prefer to dress when we're younger than when we're older, at least for the most part! On the flip side of the coin, it's sad that women are judged and labelled and worse, taken advantage of at times as a result. <3

  10. Doing the opposite of what we are told or our parents want. I remember being a little bit like this at one point. Loved it!

    1. Gina, I think everyone goes through a stage of rebellion. It makes our parents crazy, but on the most part we all turn out OK in the end. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥

  11. I like the layers here, Kathy. On one hand, we see this as teen rebellion. On the other, female stereotyping. Brilliant!

    1. Stacie, I have one of each. So far my 14 year old has no desire to wear "slut wear" as she calls it and I am relieved because I see way too many that have no qualms at all. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. ♥

  13. Great response to the question. The mother here has a really believable voice, and Sadie's got a really believable attitude. I'm with Stacie - sometimes I'm really glad I have boys!

  14. Sadie's got a wild streak! I have to admit, if she were my daughter, I'd stand my ground for a little bit more length on the skirt, and maybe a jacket. What a relief, I have a boys (but not looking forward to dealing with those teenage hormones {shivers} :)

    1. jannatwrites, yes she does. I am on threshold of teenager hormones with my 14 old daughter. Some days I am not sure I enjoy it much, but most days it is not too bad. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥

  16. Aah! The eternal conflict between moms and teenage children. The wisdom comes only with age, sadly!

    1. Shilpa, it is a pity. I could have used the wisdom THEN. LOL My daughter on the most is receptive and appreciative of my wisdom. I have that she has quite a bit to teach me. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments!

  17. I love the rebelliousness of this teen. If her parents don't like it, that must mean it's perfect. Fun stuff! You really captured the conflict well, Kathy.
