Disaster Averted

Adjusting the oven temperature to 425 degrees, I discovered my protégé, washing chicken pieces with Dawn dish soap.

“STOP!”

Horrified, I quickly rescued tonight’s main course from the suds, rinsing each piece with hot water.

Seasoned and baked, no one will know.

    1. CookieCrumbs, actually I was inspired by a true event. My sister-in-law was the person who actually washed the chicken with dish soap and I believe she was in her 20's at the time! HA HA HA. She never was into cooking much. I am so pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥

  11. Sounds like my mother. She used to wash produce with soap. ☺ Can you imagine what soapy chicken would taste like? Glad you didn't find out!

    1. Oh yes! Am still a vegetarian. Very rarely, twice in a month, I taste chicken when my friends force me to have it. @Kathy Combs, you too can force me !!! Pleaaaase.
