Screwed and Tattooed

Tourney time at the bowling alley with my mates and I was having a top night.  Beer flowed freely, the laughs contagious.  No one’s laughing now.  Our fate: a never ending night, unbelievably cold, and the slow, inevitable death of everything everywhere.

    1. Martha, the whole idea of this particular writing challenge is to answer the question "where were you when the Earth stopped turning?" I answered the question and took it a step further by stating what ultimately happened when the Earth ceased to turn one cold winter night. The sun was never seen again, and it never got warmer, therefore plant life never recovered, eventually animals died out, and then as the food supply diminished therefore then did the population. Kind of a bleak fate, but that is what I visualized happening. It probably would take a while, true...but that is what I had in mind. The end of Earth as we know it. On the other end of the spectrum I imagine the side of the Earth that never knew night, would eventually bake...the water dry up and life cease to exist without it too. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments! ♥

  9. It would be very scary to be in the middle of such an event. I always wondered if the buildings would rise with us?

  14. Loving the way you brought in the dichotomy of before and after, Kathy. Laughs and beer before and silence afterwards. The middle- that's where it happened.

    1. kymm, Ha!! That is where it all began. They didn't figure out what the score was until much later. Then I am sure they had CNN on it with the latest breaking bulletins as the news teams struggled to figure out just what the hell was going on. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
