I have always had such a terrible time finding shoes b/c of my odd feet. lol They are small, but wide. Takes HOURS for me to find a pair that fits. I had some decent luck at DSW. Their prices are pretty good too. I know Payless Shoes also offers BOGO deals as well. It's so surprising to me that parents have to cover the cost of so many school supplies now. Remember when we were kids, we'd come to school and find our desks pretty much stocked?
ReplyDeleteJoJo, like you I remember when you went to school and they handed all that stuff out the first day. These days they send out a list a mile long for the parents to fill. The kids backpacks are so weighted down with school supplies on the first day back they can barely get on the bus! I still got to get the kids shoes to stay at school and shoes to wear everyday and new clothes. UGH. At least I have all their supplies bought except for a couple science fair boards my daughter needs. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments!
DeleteShoes....love 'em! I don't typically care to shop...unless it's for shoes. Thanks for letting people know about such great deals.
ReplyDeleteHumor after 50, I went through a phase in life when I had a pair of shoes of every color and style to go with about every outfit I had. Then I got older and became a stay at home mom. How things have changed!! I have a pair of tennis shoes, flip flops, winter boots, and a pair of black flat dress shoes. That is the extent of it. Once I had kids my feet grew, so all those old shoes went to Goodwill.Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments!!
DeleteYep, Famous shoes are always quality and for kid shoes, that is soooo important. Good support and great prices! Oh yeah.
ReplyDeleteJo, it is great to find shoes that last. My son goes through shoes like you would not believe!! He is just hard on shoes, and then he goes through those happy growth spurts. LOL Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments!!
DeleteI agree with JoJo...things were so much different when I went to school. Our books were supplied, etc. But as I got older, mom and dad had to buy more and more. When college rolled around, I almost fell over at the cost of the books. For today's busy parents, any bargain is a good bargain. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSusan, Oh yes!! College books and supplies were astronomical. I went to college for graphic design and spent oodles of money on art supplies on top of books. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments!
DeleteGood job on this post Kathy. Thanks for your tips before. I have written 4 so far. Haven't got paid yet but I guess that takes a while.
ReplyDeleteKAT, you are very welcome!! From what I have found, the most legitimate companies make you wait 30 days after your post has been approved to pay you and still others also add the stipulation that they will only pay once you have over a certain dollar amount. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your kind comments and observations!!
