KAT, we were so excited to see it in the sky when it flew over our house. The kids were so thrilled and I just kept snapping pictures. Thank you for stopping by to check it out!!
Susan, occasionally I see a blimp heading over to South Bend for a Notre Dame football game but this was on just a random summer day. Thank you for stopping by and for your comments!
When I was a kid in South Florida, the Good Year blimp was a common sight. I wonder when they went to colors? They were always grey with black lettering back then. For a kid born in the 40's, such a sight was a thrill every time! And now, after so many years, it would be a thrill for me to see one fly over my house! Unfortunately, it is unlikely to happen since I live so close to the International Airport... :-(
Darlene, about the only time we see blimps around here is if there is a Notre Dame home football game and then you might see one. This picture was just taken on a random day this summer. We were outside in the yard, looked up and there it was flying past. Thank you for stopping in and for your comments!
Cool!!! One of them flew over our house in Bonney Lake one time. It made the funniest sound, I knew it wasn't a plane or helicopter so I ran out to see what it was! I was surprised to see the blimp!
JoJo, it isn't everyday you see a blimp drifting by overhead. Very cool, and you are right they have a sound all their own! Thank you for stopping by to check out my picture, share your experiences and for your comments! ♥
As my grandkids would say, "Cool!".
