Envious of her
physique, I assess my own. I would kill for her ass.Sigh. Elect
torture courtesy of a local gym, or find a superb plastic surgeon in New York? Contemplating my pizza, I resign myself to
hereditary genetics. Life’s choices.
Ellen, I know exactly what you mean! I feel the same way! Looking back on pictures of myself when I was a teenager now I am completely floored by how good I looked then...say senior year. My daughter is 15 and I have told her that she should embrace her beauty as she is now because she will probably wish she could be this young and beautiful again years down the road. Slowly, her attitude towards her image has changed...and I am glad. She still doesn't completely "like" her body, BUT she thinks she is OK. So yay. Thanks so much for stopping by to read and for your sweet comments! ♥
I think many of us can relate to this. I know I can. Why do we torture ourselves so much instead of just accepting our bodies and being grateful? The grass is always greener. The ass is always smaller, eh, Kathy? Hehehe! Good one!
JoJo, I agree completely. We only get one life, why not enjoy it? Why be miserable? We are all going to die anyways, so what does it matter? Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
Shilpa, Amen! That is my motto...except for me tomorrow never comes( diet wise) Really bad that way! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
Yeo, I get this one! Too bad I didn't appreciate my better than now body when I had it. :p

DeleteSometimes we let the mirror become our worst enemy, Kathy. I always remember that God loves what's inside me, not outside. It helps a lot!
ReplyDeleteMartha, mirrors have always been my worst enemy. I will have to remember that. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments! ♥
DeleteAt this age I really don't care anymore. Enjoy the pizza. As I always say: eat right, exercise, die anyway.

DeleteI think most of us could find things we don't like about our bodies. I'm finding that with age, comes some amount of acceptance.
