Science Fair

This year both of my kids participated in science fair.  Both kids worked really hard on their projects and both did extremely well.  While my daughter’s participation was mandatory with the results becoming a major part of her science grade, my son’s participation was voluntary.  He wanted to do it as soon as he heard about it.  I am very proud of both of them for their hard work and their accomplishment.  My twelve year old daughter scored 96 out of 100 on her project, a solid A and to everyone’s surprise my son did so well he earned the right to take his project on to the district science fair.

Last night we celebrated at Pizza Hut with a delicious supreme pizza and mouth watering to die for cheesy bread sticks.  I know, not exactly on my diet sheet but  it was a special occasion after all!  A few slices of heaven covered with cheese isn’t going to kill me as long as I don’t do it everyday.   Screw it, I was out to enjoy myself.  We came home in high spirits and my daughter taught me how to do the pony dance.  It was seriously too much fun!  I laughed so hard I almost peed in my pants!!  It was a great night, and now we can look forward to cheering on my son at the district science fair.  Instead of having the science fair behind us, in February we’ll be doing it all again when I give you another glimpse into the life of a trucker’s wife.

    1. Sandra, I know exactly what you mean. I dreaded the science fair. My son needed lots of guidance, where my daughter was more independent. There is a lot of work around. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your kind comments! ♥

  3. Congrats on the science fair. I remember the stress of my kids trying to pull these together. We had a lot of memorable projects over the year, which would make a good post on my humor blog.
