W is for Wedding

The music began.  A vision in white, she glided towards him.  His stomach churned as he glanced at Valerie waiting stoically across the aisle, staring at her bouquet.

    It was then he knew.

“I can’t marry you.  Not when I love Valerie.”

Mortified and enraged, Debbie slapped him hard, kneed his nuts, and ran away.

V is for Verdict

The jurors file solemnly back into the box one by one.  Not one glanced his way. Yet they held his fate in their hands.  He stood, staring straight ahead awaiting their decision.

U is for Ultimatum

It had been the best 4 years of Brianna’s life, no doubt.   She loved Dillon.  If Dillon loved her, he would marry her.  All their friends were married.

Jennifer hugged her tightly, smiled, and told her to hurry on to recess.    Amanda must never guess that she was the baby she had given up ten years ago.

Q is for Quest

With swords drawn, Danny and Billy crept silently through the woods, ever diligent.  While pausing to study the map by flashlight, they heard a distant twig snap.

Something or someone was coming.  Their heartbeats quickened.   The stakes were high.  They must find the treasure before the enemy found it first!   “Danny!  Billy!  Dinner!” yelled mom.
