The dictionary states that a parody is in fact a written or musical work where the original is mimicked for comic effect. I have thought about this challenge all week, and like someone who is standing at the edge of the open door of a plane working up the courage to hurl myself thousands of feet to my doom with only a parachute to save me, I have waited and contemplated what in the name of G0d I could submit on this topic. Since my life tends to proceed to the beat of my favorite tunes it only seems fitting that I would end up cruising You Tube for inspiration.
Would you rather be a rock star?
Or would you rather be a pop star?
What lifestyle suits you best, the reality or the parody? That is all I have to say about parodies until next time when I give you another glimpse into the life of a trucker's wife.
hmm. Is that my only choice reality or parody? Gotta sleep on that one:)

I actually thought how this parody is done is hilarious and it is so on the mark when it comes to the young starlets it features....Britney and Lindsey and Christina. LOL I have always loved Nickelback, so this song was an obvious choice for me. I would love to be a rock star...actually. I would love to be back stage, behind the scenes...running the sound equipment or doing the promotion. Very Cool. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments. ♥

DeleteFabulous parody! I want to be a famous writer. Yesterday, an author came to school and showed the kids a picture of him and RL Stine. They all read Stine's books, but no one had a clue who the dude in the picture was.

DeleteI LOVED this...how true...so so sad...get it about parody's now..so thankful you JUMPED!!your blog is not only nice and wonderful. It does gives goose bumps at times but I still want to read as being too inquisitive into it. At the same time, you said, you won't bite me this time! Well, can you switch off some gadgets at your side like layout so that the eyes that drool down the screen wont feel bad about the whole thing.
