Places to Go Before I Die

If money was no object, and I could go anywhere here is a list of where I would like to go.

1.  London, England, UK
I would love to see the castles, the crown jewels, see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and take a ride on a double decker bus.

2.  Paris, France
I would want to go explore Paris and see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.  I want to cruise the Ritz Hotel, check out the Place Vendome, and eat at a cafĂ© or bistro.

3.   Venice, Italy
Who doesn’t want to take a ride on a gondola under the Bridge of Sighs with their sweetie at least once in their life??

4.   Disney World and all surrounding Disney Parks
I haven’t been there since I was 18, and I would love to go explore the parks with my husband and kids!!

5.   Any tropical island in the Caribbean
Just once I would like to be a Bahamas’ mama living la vita loca!! Imagine me sucking down the tropical drinks with the nifty little umbrellas watching the sunset on some beach somewhere.

6.   Niagara Falls
I think I would love to see the falls just once.

7.  Washington DC
It would be fun to run around the city and soak up American history!

8.   Las Vegas, Nevada
I might want to check out Las Vegas just once to see what all the fuss is about.  After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!  The shows alone would be worth the visit!

9.  Nickelback concert- Anywhere!!
     This goes without saying!!

10. Ozzy Osbourne concert-Anywhere!!
Seeing Ozzy in concert would be awesome!!

11.  Wizarding World of Harry Potter  at Universal Studios
Not sure I would want to get on any roller coasters but it would be awfully cool to walk the streets of Hogsmead and check out Hogwarts!!

In reality, when you spend most of your life at home you realize you would like to go just about anywhere at least once.  I am not picky and trips to museums and zoos will work for me!!  I am quite the happy camper, and it hasn’t escaped my imagination to go camping in cool National Parks or even explore the wonders of the caves of Kentucky.  Where would you most like to go?  I am open to suggestion until next time when I give you another glimpse into the life of a trucker’s wife.

  2. Well, the beauty of being a writer is you can imagine you are there in your words (until you get their for real). Venice is on my list, too.

    1. Beachlover, I am so pleased you enjoyed it. I am fascinated with Europe, I really am. Unfortunately I will count myself lucky if I get to travel about my own country, let alone going overseas. Thank you for stopping in to read and for your comments!!

    1. The Host, it takes money to get crack a lacking. Unfortunately I have never an abundance of money...so I will have to leave the world travelling to folks like you. It would be a dream come true, but I am realistic to know that I will probably never see those places. Who knows though, life can be full of surprises. Thanks for stopping by to read and for your kind comments.

  8. I have less wanderlust than almost anyone I know. I'd like to find that farmhouse with the red barn on some lovely wooded acreage, mosey around there for thirty years or so, and then see if maybe I want to venture out past the county line.

I do enjoy road trips, but the vacations that most normal people like don't really ring my bell.

    1. Word Nerd, I am a home body by habit. I am used to not having money to travel and just staying home. I would love to see these places, but would be pleased if I could just go on some road trips and see some sights with my family. I don't have to go to far away exotic places that require an airplane to get there. I have never been on a plane before so I am a little skittish about it. I can certainly see your point of view because it mirrors yours. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your comments!!

    1. Word Nerd, the closest thing I came to a real trip for a vacation was almost 15 years ago for my honeymoon. It would be nice to go somewhere someday!! Thank you for stopping in!

  10. I think traveling is exhausting, but titillating all at the same time. I love seeing new things, tasting new food, talking with people who speak two languages and one of them is mine. I am always thrilled to be back home, though. Hoping you get to checkity check check off one at a time and enjoy every single minute. ♥
