What I Value Most

Welcome to another day of BlogFest.  Today’s host is Emily Rose Thrasher of Mommy of an Angel.

The prompt for today asks
“What do I value?”

I thought about this long and hard all day and I kept coming back to the same answer.  First and foremost I value my husband and kids.

Without them life wouldn’t be worth drawing another breath.  I value my memories and my pictures.  They are all I have left of my parents.  I value truth and honesty.  I value loyalty.  I value kindness and being polite.  I value God’s path for me and trust in Him to guide me.  I value my blog.  Yes I do.  I must, or I wouldn’t be as dedicated to maintaining it.   I value my dear dogs and cat.  At the end of the day, nothing else would really matter if I did not have my husband and kids.  At this point I have come full circle in my thinking and am back to start until next time when I give you another glimpse into the life of a trucker’s wife.

  1. Great post. Too many people place value on things, when the most valuable items in the world aren't really things at all (except maybe photographs).

  4. I would have expected this list from you! It's exactly who you are people above and beyond things and the things are connected to people. I think you got this just right.

Good job. And I do love the kiddos pics. ♥

  5. As I'm not a mother, nor a wife...I'm thankful for family and friends. I've never been materialistic and I think it says alot about a person who would favor designer clothes over food for their child (I've seen this first hand).

Those pics are adorable too btw.

    1. Loki-Lou, I agree with you. That is awful in my opinion. I can't imagine anything being more important than the people I love. The pictures really turned out super good this year. They make me smile. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your kind comments! ♥

  6. Many people don't think of family when they think of what they value. I think if you have a healthy family and children you are rich even if you are poor. Thank you Kathy for your thought provoking post. Angelia @ http://dixielandcountry.com

    1. Angelia, perhaps that is the case which makes me the odd bird. Since I have lost both of my parents, all of my grandparents, and other family members dear to me...I have realized how valuable my husband and kids are to me. You can't put a price on them or their love. They are priceless and I would rather have them over all the money and stuff in the world. Thank you for stopping by to read and for your kind comments! ♥
